Being a metal bat user myself, I enjoy using them. Expecially at a younger lever, there are not that many high scoring games. At a major level in USSSA, I might have been involved in 1-2 games this year that we scored over 5 runs in a close game. If we scored more then 5 (or the other team) it was due to errors/walks/mental mistakes/base running errors etc. etc. I believe college should go to wooden bats. I myself am tired of watching Miami score 500 runs a game. However, that being said, I always watched alot of HS baseball this year. Not that many highscoring games there either. So I believe that college right now is the only level that should go to wooden bats at this point in time.

To be honest, I love wooden bats too. I've used them plenty in the cage and in wooden bat tourneys. But to me those wooden tourneys are a little boring at times. It seems almost impossible to get something started. Expecially at a younger level. Because you got 4 kids to 5 on the team (with the exception of my time this year) that could hit the ball with a wooden bat. So sometimes you just had to ask yourself, is it ever gonna end?

P.S. I agree about the leather helmets post, totally true clt2. Just because someone got injured doesn't mean you have to completely change everything.

But for those of you who want to see college go to wooden bats. It's gonna take someone getting killed for that to happen.

Well high five then . However, I also agree and see the other side. So my proposition:

Wood bats in college, not in HS. Watched plenty of games this year, not many high scoring. Leave wooden bats at the "next level". If it isn't broke, don't fix it. College is broken, needs fixing, HS however, is not. So don't fix it.

No you can't! Who's stories are we going to hear without him? Come on, it's like cocaine. It's ADDICTING! Think of it this way, if you take his fishing away, then we're gonna have to listen to completely fake stories, b/c he doesn't have a real fishing one to exaggerate
