I congratulate all the players that made it. I'm looking forward to reading the rosters.

The thing that has always puzzled me is there are some HS coaches that don't turn in the form to nominate his player(s) for tryouts to the game. You would be surprised how many fail to do so.

Coach, I'm not sure I agree with point #1. It is an honor to be selected for the team and play with the best of your region against the best from the other regions. Why should that experience be taken away from someone who has already committed? There are also a large number of pro scouts in attendance each year and that certainly is an appealing part for any player. I fully understand your point, but do not agree.

I totally agree with point #2 as they have everyone's email address and can just say yes, maybe or no.

    Redo the system.....

Look at what you put down. This is two things in the system that need to be addressed. And as of I think 10:34 pm they still have not selected a venue. The whole thing is not broken. Just poorly ran and caught up in what I will call the lack of giving a ----. You have touched on two of the very things that have gotten away from what it was intended to be. A showcase of Non-committed high school players.

    Site selection

According to the State Games site, they are playing at War Memorial Stadium and UNCG. East-West game and the scouting "combine" are at War, and the regional games at UNCG.

    I'll Agree......

This horse is dead, buried and decomposed... nothing left but dust and bones, shoot maybe it has finally fossilized... I have seen all there is to see with this topic and there is no perfect way and no way to make everybody happy. I will agree that better communication is a must... As far as the selection goes... Like Coach MAy said the 1st are the easiest, and the last 5 the toughest... too many of equal talent...

    Again

Again, pupose of the original question was to see the rosters in advance and see the intriquing match-ups I may want to see. It was not to debate the process. I'm sure there are guys on here who kids have made the teams and know the rosters???

Yep, but each year it crystalizes and comes back. There are certainly some areas that need corrections and Coach May hit on some that people are concerned with. But I have never read a great solution to correct the selection process...and this has been discussed for 6 years on TBR.

Sorry, you are right. But the subject tends to polarize members. I hope we can get the rosters reported

Dont take it that I was bashing your legitimate question, just my frustration with the complaints regarding the process. I too wish the State Games Committee would release the teams. It might even help attendance to see the potential matchups.

I apologize if I came across as criticizing you dwightschrute...
