Congrats RM...... Way to Go Mustangs!

Well, just got back from Five County Stadium. East nearly did it after being down. The out call at the plate in the 6th was really the play of the game. The ump called Roland out because he said he slid out of the basepath. WELL needless to say I disagree. Roland kept his hand within reach of the base the whole time and made a hell of a slide. The catcher never tagged him and he should've been safe. That would have made it 8-7 with two runners in scoring position. I know people say to let the batter make the out but Hightower or Roland on his own had decided he was going to try and score because the ball skipped away and by the time he realized he wasn't going to score standing up, it was too late to go back to third. We can only speculate what would have happened if that out wouldn't been made. I just hate that in a big time game like that, the ump can't make the correct call.

OH WELL!! I was very impressed with RM, big time team and can really hit the ball. Goodwin was as advertised and Legget was awesome in the first game when Shive (ER) was not on. J-Rol (Justin Roland) did such a good job and he gets the MVP in my book because he was great and left it all out there.:trophy:

East says goodbye to standout seniors Justin Roland (UNCC), Micah Jarrett (Wake) and Trey Holmes (Pitt CC). These seniors really meant a lot to East Rowan baseball and they will be sorely missed. Thanks!!

Pat Smith, RM coach also won a state championship at S. Johnston.

did he win a state championship as a HS player?

have other coaches won state championships at multiple schools?
