Rowan earns a non-league win but shows their strength with the addition of the East Rowan players who just finished runner up at the 3-A State Championship series. Rowan jumped ahead 3-0 in the first inning and never looked back. Micah Jarrett blasted a two run homerun. Rowan is home against Lexington on Tuesday.

    Them kickers!

Yeah, I watched Henderson County play Saturday night and their kicker looked like he would be the kind to let the team down. I think he is a s____r player. I didn't fill in the letters because I'm sure that is one of the banned words on this thread. lol

I saw a score from Taylorsville's game the other day and it looks like they have got some hitters this year. A few years ago I talked to one of the Dads up there and he said they had trouble getting players to play. Must not be the case this year. I am glad to see them off to a good start this year.

With the Cherryville boys winning the 1A high school championship and getting back in town that Cherryville legion will be a force again this year. I am looking forward to seeing some good games this year in Hendersonville.

    Garner won game 1: 2-1
    Cary won games 2 and 3: 5-4

    Union County 14 Charlotte 6

Hamlin Wade led off the game with a HR for Charlotte and followed it up with a Grand Slam in his next AB. Sedberry settled down after that and kept them in check the rest of the night while once again the UC bats came alive late. UC had a lot of big hits in the game including HR's from Santiago, Brigman and Herman.

UC 4 - 0 next game @ home Wed. vs. Newell

    Cherryville Rocks Mooresville

    Cherryville 17
    Mooresville 6

They are back!!! I think Cherryville is at full strength now. I don't know how deep they are on the mound, but Cherryville can put runs up in a blink of an eye. Close game, 7-6 half way through, but it got ugly quick. No shortage of homeruns tonight. It will be interesting to see if BDR's boys can do it again.
