    It was inflated

there is no doubt about that. If Mark Wilder at at 88-89 on his fb with that kind of command from the leftside then I would be on the phone wanting to be his agent. But Wilder is very very good. So were all the guys I saw in this series.

It was three or four mph off I would estimate. Baseball Britt was behind the backstop with actual guns so Im sure he is spot on. But regardless of that Shive has a very nice arm and a very projectable frame. I hope he works his butt off in the off season and has a great senior year.

I knew that if RM could get in predictable fastball counts no one was going to throw it by them. We threw Chris Luck at them last year and he sat 89-91. He couldnt throw it by that crowd. We threw Pratt Maynard at them this year and he was 88-90 and he couldnt throw it by that crowd. They work very hard on staying short and just putting the barrell on the baseball. 1-9 they are tough outs and they put the ball in play. The only teams that have had success with this group have been the teams that have been able to mix it up and keep them guessing and work ahead with offspeed. Bentley Massey is a perfect example of a guy that was able to do this in the 1-0 game he beat them in.

RM had a great approach at the plate in this series. They did not chase balls out of the zone and they worked fastball counts and then they used the whole field. The only guy that hurt them on the hill was Roland and he was the guy I felt all along would be the toughest guy for them to face. Great game plan at the plate by Rocky Mount and great execution.

    radar readings

I sat behind home plate and the readings were 4-6 mph off. The higher the reading, the more it was off.

Exactly. I think it was cool to read that Jordan Darnell was at 96. I'm going to try to get there to throw some. It would be equally cool to see the board light up with my 70 mph reading
