LLTC lost their 1st game 5-4 (Mizuno Pride), won 2nd 2-1 (TN Explosion - Erica Harris hit 2 run home run) and 3rd game 11-1 (Nashville Knight Hawks) and lost 4th game 1-0 (Nashville Cruisers defending 16U National Champions). The tournament was a straight double elimination no pool games.

Legacy Gold lost 1st two games. We did not get a chance to watch them. They were at another field.

There were a lot of very good teams there this week end.

    raise the bar!!! We've all......

...read on TBR the stuff about $, travel, whats good for one might not be for another............SO LETTING THAT REST PLEASE, can some of ya'll give us an update/opinion as to how many coaches were watching? Were the teams equally distributed over the complex that would enable a coach or 10 to watch more than one game at a time? Would you go back to this tourn.? Where would you rank this one with the Rising Stars, Col. etc.?
Thanks upfront for filling us in so that all NC/SC teams can learn from your experience. Jdub, the fishman

    Lots of coaches

Fishman, Our first game was at 8:30 on Friday night and on our side of the field was NC STATE, UNC-CH, UNC-G, CAMPBELL, KENTUCKY, MISSISSIPPI,and 2-3 others that I wasn't sure of. There were coaches on the other side too. I haven't been around TB at this level for that long, but I was amazed at how many big schools were there. I saw the Weekley's from Tenn, Tenn Tech, Baylor, Auburn, Southern Miss,Alabama, Georgia,Georgia Tech, FIU,USF, and a lot of coaches that I didn't know or recognized, just because I wasn't willing to walk up close enough to see the logo. I am willing to bet that there were at least 50-60. Pretty darn good ball being played too. Every game you would talk to someone that said the pitcher is going to Va Tech the SS is going to Fla.etc. If this isn't amateur softball at it's highest level , both organizationally,talent-wise and umpiring, then I would like to see it.

Wife and dauhgter drove 6hrs to Auburn tp play 2 games and come back. Lots of coaches watching. Dont know if its worth $ to do this Gold since dauhgter is committed already. Be glad when we get that 1win, got a good coach though.

We went to Kansas City last year and played 2 and came home, the next weekend we went to Merietta, GA. and won a bid to Oklahoma City. These types of tournaments are very tough. The 1st time you go it is an eye opening experience. Hang tough and good things will happen. The great thing is this is what your daughter will see when she gets to college.
