    this weekend for the ccprospects showcase?
    We are going to be there with the 16u Hurricanes and look forward to meeting anybody from TBR.

    Showcase at UNCW

    Any details on any of the games or players? I heard Freddy Suggs was an awesome host during this hot hot showcase.

    Stretchy, your umpires did a great job. I knew 1 of them from some old softball days. Freddie did an outstanding job, and it was a very good experience. Carolina Lake Monsters 16 went 3-1 on weekend and I'll provide details 1st chance I get. Hurricanes 16 North went 4-0. They have a nice pitching staff.

    Honestly

    the whole weekend was a comedy of errors. Started with the first game on Saturday morning. I refuse to blast anyone on a public forum and get another round of name calling started. If anyone wants a breakdown of the events...PM me.

    I would like to know what you are referring to when you say "comedy of errors".

    I was there the ENTIRE weekend and am intrigued by this statement.

    I don't think you have to mention names to reply to this so please elaborate.

    By the way I am a long time viewer making my first post and am glad to be aboard TBR.

    Before anyone gets the wrong impression on here, just because I decided to go to private does not mean I was afraid to hurt someone's feelings.
    I have NO problem with Freddy Suggs. Every time I have had a conversation with him, I have left feeling that I learned something new about baseball. He has done a lot for the players in NC and will continue to do so I hope.
    Stretchy, I appreciate your quick answers to my questions.
    Overall it sounds like most of the people there had a good time. I bow to the majority...the mob rules!

    I think the posters here want to see what your impressions were. I am sure if there are things that did not go well for you that Freddy would want to improve the experience for all of the players. He is about the kids and wants to have a quality event to benefit them. That's what Freddy is all about, the kids!
