    ditto... for those of you who were not witness there is no justification for what went on. It wasn't inappropriate... it was DANGEROUS! Everyone who witnessed it was concerned for the safety of those girls and while we were half a field away I saw a few of those players gasping for their next breath.

    ps: RM be careful about using the "R" word unless an ample supply of polygrip is handy... oh nvm.. different Heat coach! lol

    wish there was a direct process for banning these kind of "coaches" (using the term loosely), but alas, we have none. however, these things kinda work themselves out as i feel that any parent of a player involved would have done the right thing and left this team behind...no one would endanger my kid for the benefit of hearing their own voice and exhibiting a flair for power...dont know who it was, dont want to know, jmho is all.

    No excuse at all for that kind of punishment! I witnessed it and was shocked that a coach would stoop to that kind of treatment against his team. Wouldn't wish that on your worst enemy. My third thought (after sympathy, and anger) was why didn't the coach get his butt out there and lead the run?? It's his team and he should shoulder some responsibility for the loss if it was that devastating for him. That's the kind of extreme heat that has caused fatalities to professional football players and military men............GET YOUR HEAD ON STRAIGHT COACH!!!

    Wrong Approach

    In my opinion, this thread is wrong. Many of you that have posted here apparently witnessed this appalling event live, yet NONE OF YOU made an effort to intervene on the girls' behalf.

    If the young ladies were truly in peril, as most describe, then shame on you for watching and saying/doing nothing.

    If you don't have the courage to help fix a bad situation that is happening right in front of your eyes, then don't bring it here in an attempt to lynch somebody, after the fact.

    That is my 2 cents....and it won't be popular.

    I wasn't there....didn't see it.

    And, I agree with central-d.....there are some very interesting characters in and around this great sport of softball. Do your due-diligence as a parent.
