That's a pretty bold statement considering it was our first game of the year, and you only won by 3.

My observation is based on Durham's record. Have you played a killer schedule? We certainly have not.

Winning by three in baseball is a solid win.

i'm not sure i would call garner and durham "not good" either, especially since it's so early in the summer.

I'm going to agree with JM15. It's very early in the season and I know Garner is not playing well, but they have been missing several peices, but it looked like they may be coming out of the slump putting up 11 runs tonight aganist North Raleigh Post 297.

As for Post 7, from what I saw when they played Garner. Durham has to be one of the front runners in Area 1. Let's revisit this come playoff time and see where everyone is at.

Pitt County Post 39 gets the 2009 tournament at ECU. Too bad for Wilson, as that probably is the only way the program is ever make it that far.

Yes, that was a downer, as I thought Wilson had a solid proposal, but there's no denying the amenities at ECU are superior to Fleming Stadium. Also, Pitt 39 has one more state title than Wayne Co. and Wilson combined.

Congrats to everyone involved in the winning Tourney Proposal. I wasn't sure if anyone from down east was going to bid for it.

Let me tell you the STUPIDITY of the American Legion meeting. There was a proposal given by multiple teams in Area IV to make the 2007 tournament a 9-Team tournament. In my opinion, there is atleast five credible state championship contenders in Area IV and only one will get to make the State Tournament in Gastonia.

The proposal was a one game "play-in game" the night of the banquet after the banquet (think its a Thursday). It would be Gastonia versus the Area IV number two seed. It would draw a huge crowd (imagine if that was Caldwell, Shelby, Pineville, Cherryville). The loser of that game would play Saturday and the winner would play the night cap on the next night (Friday).

The proposal had the added idea that the team would pay for everything no matter how close they may be. (I don't know if you know this, but if any team is local they have to pay for everything anyway. I think within 40 miles. Caldwell had to pay their way in Cherryville back in 2005.)

So... I would like to add my name to the list of people that think Roy Waters is a total and complete idiot.
