Don't know the team....don't know the coach.....I don't coach....I wasn't there. I do know that if you, as parents, see that a bunch of young girls are in DANGER (as someone put it), as an adult, it would be extremely poor judgement to not correct it. That's what adults do....right?

The coach obviously didn't think he was wrong....but he was. Sometimes, it takes an outsider to correct the situation. Had one of those girls passed out....or potentially much worse.....the grown-ups that were watching, yet did nothing, would be partially at fault, too.

In that situation, the way the thread was written, I question the judgement of the coach who did it....AND, I question the judgement of the parents who watched it all occur.

It's my opinion, Bubba.....that's all. If you feel guilty because you knew it was wrong, yet did nothing to correct it, it's on you....

apology accepted! I understand that defending the indefensable is hard to do and be successful. Your first post merely attacked the people who were upset with the coaches actions and omitted the fault that was undeniably his. Glad to see you've come around a bit. I would only have felt guilty if I hadn't addressed your seemingly absurd stance on the subject.

    To the contrary

    No apology given.

Next time, instead of watching, do the right thing and keep the girls safe.
Don't let the allure of a partial college scholarship cloud your judgement.

DDD the PARENTS were there. Why should an onlooker get involved? If parents don't? and please watch the Bubba remarks as Chili is about as far from Bubba as you can get 'cept for maybe me. and if you cant contribute to this thread without attacking and inciting please refrain from doing so............that is unless your intent is to try and get the thread locked or deleted.

    You are certainly right

You have stressed my point exactly. Thanks.
Sorry I didn't write the thread right - lol.
but a very important part of what you wrote was... " I wasn't there" -
Believe me when I say that all that were there know that it was true growth on my part to be taking this action as opposed to what I've done in my "younger days" - the situation was handled correctly... at least on the spectator side of things, but "youze guys" have to decide that amongst yourselves. Bubba ? Great. Thanks. No offense taken, I'm actually honored.... BIG L.O.L !!

the problem coach is the one you don't suspect or you don't admit it. heck this guy might have had his team on the field the next morning at 6:30 for losing. the parents have to take the stand to protect their kids because this guy obviously doesn't have a clue.:flaming:

    Good Topic

Have to agree with Chilidawg,i've coached travel ball several years and have witnessed alot of the same.I came to the realization that in the end we are all playing for a piece of plastic, don't get me wrong i do not like losing at all but when i do i will lose with grace and be humble when we win.:46:
