Oxford 17 Leesville Rd. 7 (conf)

Oxford 12 Leesville Rd. 6 (non conf)

Game 1 5 innings, Trey Talley complete game. Gave up 5 in the 5th, but pitched a good game for the most part. Only 1 walk and no errors committed. 16 hits, led by Joel Adcock with 4 hits including a HR. Seth Lumpkins (HR) and Ty Breedlove had 3 hits each, with Chris Hill, Dylan Newton and Ryan Allen (HR) with 2 hits. Kelly had a HR for Leesville.

Game 2 Allen got the start and went 5 innings giving up 4 runs on 5 hits, walking 1 and striking out 5. Will Bullock went 1 scoreless and then we put in back up catcher Andy Richmond in for the final inning. Got out with only 2 runs, but 1 was a BOMB that hasn't landed yet by Overton. Richmond hasn't pitched since little league, and hopefully he won't ask again, LOL. Threw strikes, though. 15 hits. Adcock had 3 (7-8 on night), Richmond, Breedlove(2B), Geoff Cash (2B), and Patrick Whitt with 2, and Lumpkins, Hicks, and Bullock(2B) with 1. NCSU's offensive cord. son, Bible, had 4 hits on the night for Leesville

Big conf. game vs. North Raleigh Mon. night 7PM in Oxford. 18-5 overall
    6-1 conf.

I caught a little resistance on this about Andy Richmond pitching in relief by some in the Oxford area who don't understand baseball and baseball humor. Richmond is our # 3 hitter, so that tells anyone about his hitting skills, and he and our other catcher Trey Talley rotate every game behind the plate and both do a good job, so by saying back up catcher, it meant for that game. As for his pitching skills, we were put in a bind (anyone needing details, just PM me) for pitching, and he was next available and had been asking me to pitch. If I had thought he was in anyway going to embarass himself, I would have never put him out there, and he actually did a good job. The BOMB that was hit, he was given sh!! by everyone in good humor, dad included! Look for his name again, because he'll probably be pitching again tommorrow.
