Seager with a huge double to start the inning and then Chad Flack being Chad Flack with another clutch homerun for the Heels.

Tomorrow night will obviously be a war, especially with the pitching situation UNC is in, but I saw something I liked. The Fresno State players appeared to have a totally shell-shocked look on their face in the dugout after Flack's homerun. I'm feeling good about UNC's chances to win tomorrow.

I suppose Warren will start, with Bates and Moran in relief and White to close?

Let's hope not. One of those guys absolutely terrifies me to see on the mound and White has thrown 63 pitches in the past two games.
I think we will see Wooten and Fedex.

I think Fox would be thrilled if you told him the game would be close in the 7th and he could hand the ball to White.

Moran scares me to death, but I'm pretty confident in Bates. Didn't think about FedEx.

I guess it all depends on whether you want to reach the championship series or win the CWS. In order to beat Georgia, White is going to need a breather.
I just don't think you can go from starter conditioning to pitching everday as a closer at the end of a season without some recovery time.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I'm actually not even a big fan of the whole old school saying about how you have to take it 1 game at a time and win the game at hand. I believe in preparing yourself to win the whole thing, not just prolong your loss for a couple days.

However with that being said, I think they have an excellent chance to beat UGA with Warren and Harvey starting if White can't pitch in games 1 or 2. Also, just because he's available to pitch tomorrow night doesn't mean they pitch him for sure. Ideally of course you'd save him.

One thing I'll say, with all the hype about the UGA closer, I've been much more impressed with White in Omaha than I have the UGA guy. He throws just about as hard and has way better command.

Anyone have an idea on who will throw for Fresno tomorrow? I expect Fox to use a Warren-Bates-Moran combination tomorrow. You have to wonder where Fresno is emotionally right now, as their whole dugout seemed to be in disbelief after the game, however after coming this far, you have to forget about the tough losses and focus on the game ahead.

    Chad Flack Is A Winner

Of all the amazing things Chad has accomplished, I bet he is most proud of this : IF UNC wins tonight, he will have played in the final championship game (3 HS, 3 college) in 6 of his last 7 season.

I think Fresno will go with Justin Miller (last night's closer), so it will be a game two rematch with Warren.
Fox still has some quality guys who are fresh in the bullpen...Trice,Johnson,Striz ?
I'm still not sure who is on the postseason roster, but the one guy I'm really missing right now is Ryan Leach.

    What about....

throwing a middle of the week mid relief man? Someone COMPLETELY under the radar, and who Fresno has no idea about scouting wise???? This is what athletes live for a chance "opportunity" to step up big when not expected too.... Might seem rather unorthodox BUT it does and has worked at evey lv el... Throw a kid who has good stuff but DOESN T throw hard but has immaculate control and has rarely been used allllll year! Oh welll JMHO!!
