Carolina Cobras defeated the Triangle Lightning today 4-1. Good showing by the Lightning. Sorry Todd, beat ya to it. Congrats to you guys and good luck. Would of been there but on call and Morgan playing in State games and the Pride showcase. Quite a few coaches at both events and we survived a visit from the Guru. Lots of TBR alum in attendance at both including the legendary "Pop" Rivers and his CUTE :pokestick: cell phone and a meeting of the minds in Burlington of me, Guru, and Ldfordguy :stooges:

    Cardinals-McHone Results

Great weekend. Had some young ladies really step up their game. It's a great thing to watch them "grow up" with every game. Lots of interest from lots of colleges.
    Cards 6 Jacksonville Players 0
Cards 0 Florida Storm Gold 4
    Cards 3 WV Dusters 3
Cards 14 So. Eff. Angels Gold 1
    Cards 3 Florida Fury 0
Cards 8 East Cobb Cobras 4
    Cards 4 Columbus Spartans 6
    4-2-1 overall
We lost a heartbreaker to the Spartans at midnight. Came down to the last at bat. We were home, bases loaded, 2 outs. Got a hard grounder down the third base line, third baseman played well. Inches away from a tie and possible win. Have to say, the Spartans were one of the best teams we've played in awhile but we gave'em a fit. My girls did real gooood!
NC teams really showing well against the likes of FL and GA teams. Look forward now to the ASA State next weekend.

Carolina Cobras defeated the Lady Bombers Gold 2-1 to advance to the final four. Then a storm moved in and canceled the tournament. The Cobras and the Spartans had a coin toss for first place. Spartans won the toss and the Cobras received second, not bad out of 74 teams. Would loved to have played it out. Cobras played some great ball, finished 8-1.

    Agree

Before storm hit 2 NC teams were in final four. Cobras & NC Flames, believe their game was official. That's a MAJOR statement for NC Fastpitch !! Our girls can play & compete with the rest of teams who play all yr, & have been ahead of us through the yrs. L Blues & Cards opened the doors, & with all the hard work from everyone North Carolina is there !! Was great to hear that Rick's Cards made the comeback, that Spartan team is very tough ! Oh yeah didn't mean to leave Butch's Flames out last nite, they were in other bracket, & I didn't see them any of weekend. Great Job ladies, & coaches !!

Congrats to the Cobras for tearing it up this weekend at the Dynamites, man i knew they were the best in the state but they might just be the best in the Southeast after that performance this weekend beating strong teams from FLA, GA, and 4 "gold teams". Good luck to the Cobras this weeekend in the ASA state.
