Junior Legion scores week of June 22-28...

Where can you find the standings or records for the jr legion teams around the catawba valley, i know Bunker Hill is having a good season, they post their scores in the hickory daily record, but do not see much on any of the others?

Trey Talley went distance allowing 5 earned runs on 8 hits, striking out 7. Andy Richmond and Dylan Newton had 3 hits each. Newton had a 3 run HR in the first. Ryan Allen had 2 hits with Cory Hicks, Talley, Joel Adcock, and Patrick Whitt having 1 apiece. NR had 3 HR's with Will Byrd having 2 solo's and Brian Lincoln having 1. Lincoln went 6 complete allowing 9 runs.

Tues. 6/24 Oxford 8 Cary Colts 7

Wild game in Oxford with deputies being dispatched afterwards for umpires safety. Oxford down 7-0 in 5th, scores 3 in 5th, 2 in 6th, and 3 in bottom of 7th with 2 outs and an 0-2 count on Will Bullock, the no. 9 batter. Bullock, a lefty, hit an 0-2 pitch just out of reach and over the 3rd baseman's head to score the tying and game winning runs with the bases loaded in a huge conference game. I felt very good for our players who hung in there, but very bad for the Cary Colts (who, believe me are going to win their share of games in years to come with the Colts and eventually with the Bulls) who played their hearts out as well. What happened afterwards is no reflection upon their players or their coaches in general. Just the heat of the moment with some things that shouldn't have been said to the home plate umpire. Newton started and went 3.1 innings before giving way to Allen who finished the final 3.2 Newton allowed all 7, but 2 were unearned. Newton had 2 BB's and 2 K's. Allen allowed 1 hit and struck out 7 while walking 1. Colts finished with 12 hits. Oxford had 10 hits lead by Richmond with 3, Adcock and Bullock finished with 2, and Newton, Talley, and Whitt with 1 each.

Broke open a 4-4 tie in 6th with 6 runs. Ryan Allen 3 hits, Andy Richmond 2 hits including a HR, and Will Bullock 2 hits, with Trey Talley, Joel Adcock (3B), and Cory Hicks with a hit each. Geoff Cash got win with Ty Breedlove with save.
