This game was a story of 2 different teams. Garner made all the plays they needed to, and Durham committed 9 errors leading to 7 unearned runs. Durham is 7-7 overall, and 3-2 in conference.

Durham plays Friday at Riverside @ 7pm vs. N. Raleigh.

I know, I know. After starting 2-5, we're 5-2 over our last 7. We play N. Raleigh Friday where a win could put us in the driver's seat on our side of the conference. Against Area I West teams we're 7-3 overall. Pitching has been solid lately, just waiting for our bats to start stringing hits together. We leave a lot of people on base. Last night the wheels came off defensively, and we just never recovered.
We'll be fine- just a matter of getting on track and STAYING on track.

    Kannapolis-11 over Concord-9

In a late-season nonleague game, Kannapolis comes out on top in this one 11-9. Michael Tanzini hit a 3-run homerun for Concord in the 1st inning, but Kannapolis battled back. Alex Edwards, Hunter Pate, Andrew Lawing and Daniel Welch all had 2 hits apiece for Kannapolis with Welch's last hit being a 2-run homerun to win the game for Ktown.

Kannapolis' next game tomorrow night at home against Rowan County.

    Wilson.............. 11
    Rocky Mount....... 4

Visiting Wilson avenges its only Area I East North Division loss and snaps Rocky Mount's 8-game winning streak. With only one divisional game remaining, Tuesday vs. last-place Edgecombe Co., Wilson stands 6-1 in the division, 15-3 overall. Rocky Mount falls to 4-1, 8-2.
