    Short Cut to Mallard

Turn off at Concord Mills to right, go to dead end. This should be Odell School Rd. Take a left @ dead end, go approx 2-3 mis to where road forks, bear right, this should be Mallard Creek Rd. 1-2 mis will see brown sign on right side of road just before Johnston-Ohler rd. Turn right & park will be 1/2 mile on left. Use to be a nice park, still should be. But I bet the infields will be very hard. Try this way much better.

Wow this area has really changed now.

Concord Mills Blvd (Bruton Smith Blvd) does not dead end into Odell School road.

Take Concord Mills Blvd. past mall to stop light at Derita Rd and take a left onto Derita Rd. Then follow Derita Rd to fork at Mallard Creek Rd.

I travel that area all the time and they are doing lots of consturction hope this helps.

GPS's are not perfect. Did you hear about the charter bus in Washington State this spring? The team bus driver was blindly following the GPS route back to school after a softball game and ran into an overpass that was too low for the bus to fit under.

They aren't perfect but they are pretty accurate most of the time. You still have to be alert. What I like is when you make a wrong turn or purposely take a side trip they will get you back on track.

Mine only gives directions. It doesn't warn you about bridge heights, traffic signs, etc. One thing I can warn about is the tendency to follow directions and forget about traffic signs. When it says turn left, for example, you must not forget you're coming up on a red light. I've almost done that a couple times.

Yep, a good evening of ball playing to watch. Is good to be able to put a face with a name too, was good meeting you Cheese, and thanks for the info. I was pretty confident that I was shaking the hand of the right guy,,,,kind of gives it away nicely with that "TBR" logo on one side of the shirt and "Cheese105" on the other side....lol.
