So I guess nobody was there to get any pictures. Sounds like we are going to have to help comet and shutterbug with their schedules and priorities - just kidding. :astrosmiley2: Maybe next tourny...

Congrats 8u Charlotte Blaze WFC WESTERN NC STATE CHAMPS

Great job again to the fine young ladies on winning their 11th straight tournament championship.I saw some great things over the weekend on the field that would beat a couple of the 10u teams that were playing in Marion. We did lose our second game of the summer and our ladies came right back out and wone three straight games to bring home the championship once again.I did have alot of pictures taken and will post them this week. Our total record for the summer is 51-2 incredible achivement!!!!!!!!!!!

Based on what they have achieved, I think they could compete very well with an older age group. If they are looking for stronger competition that's the only way to go.

    This thread is nuts

Great record.....hope all the kids are playing when they're older. They've played 50+ games so far this spring....will play more in the fall, I bet. Heck, with a little effort, you can probably get them to 100 games a year!

    8U travel ball????? What's next? 6U? 4U?
    Good Luck!

and don't forget rec ball... 17 games? so thats 70!!

    :smash:
the funny thing is.... they are all begging to play more

we'll hold a tryout for you if you'd like :)

repetition is only an issue... if its forced, otherwise reps only help. There is a reason why Latin America produces multitudes of MLB players, and none come from Canada- hint- they play 365 days a year and love it. At age 15, a Latin player has seen 3x as many pitches and caught 3x as many balls as the ordinary American. (I know this isn't a baseball forum) but calling out a team that just likes to go play is bush league IMO. So what if they play 50 weekends a year, as long as it's their will.
