    Newell is down 2-0 after losing last night to Henderson County 8-2.

    Huntersville/Caldwell were rained out last night. Apparently Hamby was ejected and cannot coach in Game 3 tonight.

    Burke County Over Gaston County 5-4

    Burke Post 21 defeated Gaston County 5-4 on Friday night. Burke goes up 2-1 in Series. Game 4 at South Point High Saturday night (weather permitting). Close call at the plate went Burke's way in the top of the ninth getting Gaston the loss after Burke County went up 4-0 in the first inning. Gaston County outhit Burke 11 to 3.
