Can anyone with an ASA Rule book look up the glove rule on page 36 and tell me if it is legal to use a 1st basemans mitt at any other position on the field. I left home without my rulebook!

    Rule changed last year...
There is no exception as to a glove or mitt as it pertains to a position.

You can use a mitt ( first basemens mitt or catchers mitt ) anywhere on the field.

    Glove Color

What about those new "Liberty" or "Freedom" gloves?
    The white ones.
I heard that pitchers cannot use them.

    Glove colors

pitchers gloves can be one of four colors, Black, Brown, Tan, or Grey; or any combination of these, other colored gloves such as the ones worn by Tennessee, with orange and tan leather are not permitted in the circle, neither are the all white or the Jenny finch glove with the pink insert.

    thank you

Thank you very much for the clarification. We have a pitcher that really wanted one but was afraid to spend money to not be able to use it. No she knows.

I saw the Tennessee pitchers wear a black glove for this reason, although the remaining fielders were somethng different - I had assumed that is why they did it. There gloves look awesome!

    You mean...

Jenny Finch promotes a glove that is not legal to pitch with? That makes no sense. Jenny should have done her homework. It's OK Jenny we still love ya!
