We're missing a heckuva story here....the Hurricanes!!! Those guys are having a terrific tournament. I wish we could get more details and information on their games. They certainly deserve it.

    South Canes

I know a player on the South squad - Cameron Richards (Knightdale '09); and have seen Matt Dupree (West Johnston '10); Dylan Brown (SSS '10); Bryant Noteboom (SSS '09); Carlos Rodon (Holly Springs '11).

Based on reports from Georgia, the South Canes were a "play away" from the round of 32.

    Its Raining again

I tried to get an update but the game never got started. It's raining again. Stretchy, you may can get Coach Petty if they are sitting around waiting. Other than the Dirtbags and Canes are they any other teams with boys from the local showcase circuit still playing?

MVP Baseball has 2 teams competing. Both teams have Triangle Area players on their rosters. I think both squads finished 2 - 2 in pool play. Unfortunately, neither team made it to the Round of 32.

Heat Showcase (Harris?) and On Deck (Hill?) teams are still playing.

The Heat '09 team played pretty well. The Heat '010 team had all close games but one however struggled to score runs.

It's going to be a long day for the two teams that make it to the finals. As an example, the Dirtbags play at 10 this morning. If they win, they must play at 2:30,4:30, and 6:30 to win it all.

But they are only playing five and they have pitching. Say they stand a good chance.
