    interesting subject

and agree. I think if folks wrote the emails or posts, like you were talking to your best freind sitting next to you, even if you didn't agree. how you worded things may be completely different than if ya just went off. It would be interesting to know, how different a post would be in that case.

That's a very good point. In most cases, my thought is I'm speaking to friends. There are many things I don't say on the board that I would in private...but that is the purpose of private messages.

I think of TBR as its own community. It's a good place to come together and discuss ideas with friends with the same priorities--to give recognition to deserving players and helping familes with important information.

I must say, what I like best are two things: The friendly banter between members-- sometimes, reading a reply from Marlinfan or Guru can be magical.:clapclap:

And the way our members extend their arms to help a fellow member. slapyasilly is a good example. He let it be known that he lives on the West Coast and asked for information about moving to NC/SC. I believe the immediate response was one of "let me put you under my wings and guide you". ---TBR at its best!

I know we are a message board, but I have never felt that way. I think of us as a community. We have all shared tears, smiles, heartaches and triumph...where else will you find this on a message board? Nope...we are a community.

Exactly Braves. and I have said this before compared to the boards out here in Portland, you all play so well together. the boards here are waaaay more brutal. I spend more time talking to you guys then them, and I still live here. I just enjoy the discussions more, and it does feel more like a community. the only part missing for me personally, is that I simply dont know anyone or the teams yet. but it will happen in its time.

My Kid...She's So Mean... Look What She Did...

My DD hit one up the middle and hit your DD on the front of her leg, she had to come out of the game. I think you might have been concerned and rightly so !!!

I got jumped on by her for simply saying that it was getting hot & pitcher was wearing down !! Hate to see what would have happened if I would have really said something nasty.

    You seemed to have forgotten...

You seemed to have either forgotten, or left out the part about, The Big Girl is getting Hot and tired, now we can have our way with her! Yes, I did jump on you for that crappy comment, it was inappropriate and I didn't appreciate that mean statement being said about my daughter! My daughter is an incredibly strong pitcher, she has pitched 5 and 6 games a day in the hot! Hot doen't take away her ability to be able to do her job, as she has proven many times over, like that day when she finished your team off, after your comments! Just because she isn't a size 6 doesn't mean she can't take the heat!! She doesn't get any hotter in the heat than thin players do! At least I admit it when I say something or show my butt! I tell the whole truth about what happened! My good and bad points!

Just Like Me ---Put Foot In Mouth !!!

Mic is very competitive and he was caught up in a moment, nothing personal. I have said things in the past that I really didn't mean, and was sorry I said them later, but the damage was done, I just hope people will realize that we all get caught up in the moment and men are the worse !!!
