    Morgan game info: Hobbs Johnson 6 innings only 3 hits with 8 k's. Played very good defense with timely hitting. Team has a little chemistry going right now!

    State Games

    The North Carolina State Games is one of the best ways to get recruited. Legion and Showcase are both great, but the State Games is where it is at. It is so tough to get on a region team, which makes it more remarkable.

    Corbin Shive goes to 6-0 for the summer travel season.
    SCP goes 3-0 in pool play and will begin championship round play on Friday.

    Megastar 2010's go 3-0 in Pool Play

    Megastars go 3-0 in pool play.

    Game 2 highlights:
    Tyler Alberts pitched complete game and struggled a little at the start but then settled down and pitched very well.
    Story of the game was the 5th inning. Down 3-1, the Megastars first two batters are out, then Tyler Smith gets a walk, Dakota Spiess gets a hit, Alex Baker gets a line drive hit to score Spiess, Byron Haag then hits a shot to right that gets by the right fielder for a triple scoring Spiess and Baker with Haag ending up at third and the lead and eventually the win.

    Game 3 Highlights:
    We have already secured our win in our pool. Chad Walton starts and pitches four great innings allowing one unearned run for the win. Relief pitcher struggles, so in comes Austin Machicotte to induce a double play to end the sixth and pitch a clean seventh for the win.
    Joe Hager goes 3/4 with 2 RBI's and run
    Alex Baker goes 1/1 for a RBI, with a HBP and a walk and scores twice
    Byron Haag goes 2/3 with a RBI and a run
    Brent George goes 1/3 with a RBI double
    The plan to set up our pitching for the championship may be a little in doubt as Baker gets a foul ball shot to the ribs in the on deck circle. He stayed in the game, but we will have to see....

    The plan is for him to be back for Saturday...he pitched a very good game - great young man.

    Carolina Cubs Win!!!!

    Won 2-0 to advance to the round of 32. We lost short stop, Dylan Edwards, to a broken leg; having surgury today.
