Well, what some feared would happen finally happened. Foard announced that they had "settled" on their new coach. The word coming out from Tigerland is that he is promising to rebuild/reconfigure Foard's field and would include a clubhouse.

Strike-em-out is the only person I know capable of pulling off such a mammoth undertaking. No doubt he is pounding the pavement raising funds and getting his arsenal of tools ready for the job. :helpsmilie:

    "Feared?"

In response ---- there is NO FEAR IN BASEBALL. The new field configuration is a team effort, INCLUDING parents. We are in the process of building our campaign for funds and have SEVERAL fundraisers in the works, and I don't think that SEO will be there ------- the new "configuration" is due to 1. Construction in the bus/baseball parking lot of the NEW CAFETERIA, and 2. THE FIELD IS UNPLAYABLE. It was set up wrong to begin with.
EVERYONE INVOLVED IN THE BASEBALL PROGRAM AT FTF IS VERY HAPPY WITH THE ADMIN'S DECISION OF THE NEW COACH.
If anyone would like to assist in the fundraisers or are just a genuine Tiger Fan we will welcome the help. Please give us a shout as we are ready to go with this venture and plan on having a ultra nice facility to play on.
We thank you in advance for your support, and leave the negatives away from this PLEASE.

Ok, Where do i start, this may take a while

First being from a family who goes back 3 generations of graduates of Foard, Late mother (55), myself (77) 2 brothers (85 & 87) and son (08), as well as a father who taught 8 years and was principal 21 years at Foard, I consider myself as well as my family to be genuine Tiger fans. That being said I must say that seeing what i as well as others have seen for the last 4 years from the previous asst, now head coach can not be what is best for the kids and or the future of the program, and anyone who thinks it is is just fooling their selves or scared of lack of playing time for their kids if they do not "suck-up". I will state a few facts and then people can form their own opinions.
"Coach Bucket" was named by the players not parents.
Last one to practice and games and 1st one to leave is not talking about the umpires
4 years of seniors (05 thru 08) were not shown the respect of getting off the bucket on their night.
If this new found enthusiaism (sp) and fire has been found now why was Coach Greer not helped more then?

The "EVERYONES" that have talked to me and other people are not happy so i am not sure who is trying to fool who into believing everything is rosey.
FS is right on 1 thing and RB wrong, my blood, sweat, and money will not flow like it has in the past. but i will always be a genuine tiger.
I guess the real sign if the right decision was made will come if the kids are developed and improved and can win similar to the previous teams (60 wins) in last 3 years.

I think what really confuses people about the hiring, was some of the other people who were interviewed and not hired?

I have said enough for now, maybe more later.:MEPsychologist02HL:

I'm surprised that Strike-em-out, at the ripe old age of 77 has yet to learn to steer clear of controversy.

I guess he inherited it from his older brothers: One is 85 and the other is 87. Maybe it's a stimulus and a trick to a healthier golden age.:clapclap:

But what is most amazin' is he has a 17 yo son at 77. Did they have viagara 17 years ago?
