Have you heard anything about Nick or Desean? Was curious how they are doing. Has Nick pitched any? Great to see the Dirtbags playing strong.

No word on Nick. Getting game by game updates on DeSean. Walt also stays in touch with him. After struggling a little last week in the 17's, he seems to be doing pretty well in the 16's. Has hit in every game and has run the bases very well.

DB's lose in a close one in the semi's to the Richmond Braves. Still a great performnce by the Carolina boys. How did SCP finish up as well as others? It appears several carolina teams did well. Congrats to all of them.

The Richmond Braves havd been good since we were 10 years old. Then they merged with another team out of Tidewater and got stronger. I'm sure it has evolved since we were 13-14 but they have always been tough.

    Hobb Johnson

Hobbs Johnson from Rocky Mount Academy was named the most outstanding pitcher at this event. Hobbs plays with the Dirtbags and pitched 13 innings w/o giving up a run and only 6 hits. This included a 5-0 3 hit gem against the number one seeded team.

    Final 4 update

What a great week for the Dirtbags> Pitching was outstanding all week including Dale Ennis, Cody Penny, Hobbs Johnson were all outstanding. Dale gave up 4 hits in the final 4 but 2 were homeruns for 4 runs. Dirtbags had 6 hits with Holt getting 3 and Adam Griffin getting 1. Richmond is an outstanding team and also won the tournament. Players really played hard and were well coach by Coach O'Neal and Coach Hardee. Looking forward to the Wilmington weekend.
