Lots of variance depending on where one lives

Our location required two nights in hotel and at least 400 miles (round trip) to every venue (Florence, Columbia, Rock Hill, VA Beach, Richmond, Myrtle Beach, Salem). If we were doing it today I'd estimate between $400-500 per weekend. Ten weekends and you've got 4-5K and that doesn't include in "primo" trips to Boulder (which we didn't do) or Plantation (which did one time). If you started @ 8U (we didn't) you're talking 40-50K over ten years. You may also want to factor in the cost of one SUV you will wear out and a cardiac bypass resulting from too many fast food meals.

Is it worth it? It was for us.

??? Okay, obviously this person has no clue what TBR is about. I'm not going to be bothered with these immature posts.

It's this that causes parents, coaches and players fear of posting on the board. I will never tolerate that.

    I feel your pain!

Been doing it since.........forever I guess. Also, have two sons, one plays traveling baseball the other traveling Lacrosse and now is playing summer Ice Hockey in Pineville NC. I have a offshore fishing boat that is deteriorating away from lack of use, spent over 3K last month getting it ready to take to the coast, just to have a tree center it two weeks ago and did more damage to it than it is worth. We've traveled to Cooperstown for baseball and numerous other closer destinations. Softball we've been: everywhere, including the Nationals (College Station TX), this year (Moline IL), Boulder, Rising Stars Ft. Lauderdale, and numerous times to, Rock Hill, Raleigh, Dynamites, and more. Thankfully, Lacrosse runs I40 from Asheville to Raleigh, and most games are local.
As for all the experiences I wouldn't change a thing. The great thing about all of this and money, somehow you find a way and everyone is better as a result of it.
