    Simple solution....

...Ump gives the go ahead to the pitcher when he, the ump is ready, unless the batter asks for time. Period.

...as for the batters....get in the box bro!, and OWN it....

....the last thing they need to worry about is losing concentration over crap like this.

    bat preperation

Lets just tell Jeter and A-Rod to quit primping between pitches and maybe it will filter down to the kids! They are weak hitters too!

I was at a regional Little League Ripken (MARA) game last night, and there was this kid (who happen to be a very good hitter) stepping out and walking 2-3 steps to get his sign from the third base coach after each and every pitch. This was in the first inning and finally after this happening 4-5 times, the umpire said something to the kid and that was the end of that!
Good job Mr. Umpire! Was that you Stretchy?

YES....but please do not tell Cal as that was his son Ryan batting and if Cal gets wind of it then he will tell Braves to ban me from TBR (which would make my wife very happy).

    Jeter and A-Rod weak hitters!

    ..
....oh you mean Jeter, career batting average of .310 over what, 13 yrs or so? ....and ARod, the future all time homerun holder, the same guy that hits 50+ HRs every season in his career short maybe 1 or 2.

Hey MyNok, I hope you were tongue in cheek on the weak hitter gig. ...

....otherwise, I'm betting you've got a RedSox flag on your car.

    .....yours truly, Marlinfan,.....

....and don't let the name fool ya brother, I bleed Yankee blue!...

.......and unfortunately, I've bled alot lately!! LOL!

    ....Give us some pitching!!!

I was using them in jest because an earlier post indicated that the fidgiters in and out of the box were normally weak hitters. These 2 are the worst between pitches. A 4 pitch at bat takes 10 minutes with them.
