    It sounds like

    the SCP's played some great baseball. The Tri State Arsenal Blue have an outstanding team with some quality pitching. You don't lose when you play this type of competition on a weekly basis. There are only winners imo when you get an opportunity to play great teams each weekend. It would benefit a lot of people to go and watch some of this baseball once in awhile. I think it would open some peoples eyes.

    This summer opened mine. There's some talent out there.

    At the same time, about 5% are gifted. I mean obvious. Kids that get drafted. Then another 10% that are really good. Then the rest. The question becomes, "What seperates them?"

    Thats why some will be just as good next summer when you see them play as they are now. And some will only continue to keep getting better.

    And some you have not seen yet will bust on the scene seemingly out of nowhere and everyone will want to know who they are. Its not a sprint its a marathon.

    I was not necesarily asking but thank you. I posed the question for conversation but you are correct. Hard work, attitude, grades, passion, and the list could go on. For some reason baseball seems different from other sports. I could easily be wrong but learning and playing the game of baseball at a high level takes a tremendous work ethic. It seems tougher than other sports. JMO.

    I tend to agree that baseball is more difficult. I believe basketball players are the most athletic, but they cain't play baseball.

    Just got in from taping the game for Webcast this Sunday at 8:30 pm.

    Dirtbags defeat Canes 15-4 (waiting to see if anyone posts details)
