Cherryville vs. Pineville (best 3 out of 5)

Beginning Sat.July 26 at Cherryville, home site changing each night until winner is crowned.

This series is huge because not only are both Cherryville and Pineville 2 great teams, with both possibly capable of winning a state championship, but this year because the state tourney is in Gastonia and the Gaston County legion team will be the host team at the state tourney,,,, only the winner of the Cherryville/Pineville series will go to the state tournament. Loser goes home. Good Luck to both teams.

Its a shame that both teams can't go to the state tournament. I've seen both play, and both deserve to go to Gastonia. Cherryville should be packed tonight!

It looks like Aaron Haynes got the loss, but I'm not sure how many innings he lasted.

    Game 2

I hate to argue with somebody that knows Country Boy A$$ like Carolina Man, but it wasn't a whipping like I saw tonight:

    Game 2

    Cherryville 19
    Pineville 6

Should be a good tomorrow night in Cherryville. The rowdiness in the stands tonight gave it a Cherryville/Caldwell feel.

Now now dont be sour on us. You are pulling for the local boys arent ya? Cherryville returned the favor on Sunday night with a 19 to 4 win. Seth Freeman pitched 6 and 2/3rds innings and Drew Reynolds finshed up the game. Reynolds delivered a grand slam in the 5th or 6th to start the big rally for Post 100. Four homeruns in that inning. The Post 100 bats woke up in this game but Pineville is a very tough team with good hitters and speed all the way through the lineup. Game three is tonight in Cherryville....

Hey Carolina Man shall I save you a seat and we could talk:MEPsychologist02HL: about your feelings?
