    Two NC teams will be participating in this years 18U ASA National Tournament being held in Moline, IL. this week.

    Here are the schedules for the Carolina Cobras and Lady Blues:

    Carolina Cobras
    Pool Play:
    Monday, 4:30pm vs. OH Elyira Sun Dogs
    Tuesday, 12:30pm vs. WA Glacier NW or Texas Storm

    Bracket Play:
    Wednesday, 2:00pm vs. St. Louis Classics

    Lady Blues
    Pool Play:
    Monday, 4:30pm vs. Tucson Scramblers
    Tuesday, 12:30pm vs. IL QC Dynamite Dreamers or American Athletics - Bartholomew

    Bracket Play:
    Wednesday, 4:00pm vs. CA Tornadoes

    Day 1 Scores - ASA Nationals, Moline, IL

    Here are the scores from day 1 at the ASA Nationals. Pool Play.

    Carolina Cobras - 4
    Elyria Sun Dogs (OH) - 5

    Lady Blues - 10
    Tucson Scramblers - 8 8 innings

    2nd round of pool play is Tuesday, as both the Cobras and Lady Blues will play at 12:30pm.

    Cobras vs. Washington Glacier NW
    Lady Blues vs. Dynamite QC Dreamers (IL)

    Cobras

    Cobras must of been in a tough bracket. They lost both of there games. Not sure if they have done this all year. I hope they get off on the right foot tomorrow.

    Day 2 Scores - ASA 18u Nationals, Moline, IL

    NC team day 2 scores. Final pool play game:

    Carolina Cobras - 5
    Washington Glacier NW - 9

    Lady Blues - 9
    Dynamite QC Dreamers (IL) - 6

    Championship bracket play begins on Wednesday as follows:

    2pm
    Carolina Cobras (0-2) vs. St. Louis Classics (0-2)

    4pm
    Lady Blues (2-0) vs. CA Tornadoes (2-0)

    Hopefully the Cobras and Blues will get off to winning start in bracket play.

    Weather has been very good. Not hot, just warm, and so far dry.

    Cobras win with a 9-0 shutout of the St. Louis Classics, will face the Tampa Mustangs Walt who have won by two shutouts so far in pool play and received a bye in the double elim bracket. Good luck to the Cobras and the Blues in the rest of the tournament

    Bracket Play Results - Wednesday

    Here are the bracket play results for the NC Teams from Wednesday bracket play:

    Carolina Cobras - 9
    St. Louis Classics - 0 5 innings

    Lady Blues - 11
    Tornadoes, CA - 0 5 innings


    Carolina Cobras - 3
    Tampa Mustangs, Walt - 5

    This game was very good, and Cobras had bases loaded in 7th with 1 out, but came up just short. Cobras 1st loss in double elim. bracket play.

    Here is the schedule for Thursday:

    Lady Blues vs. Fastpitch USA @ 8am

    Carolina Cobras vs. TBA @ 4pm

    Cobras lose three of first four games! Did I read on here they were 35-2 for the summer. Tough teams in Moline.

    Thursday Bracket Games

    The Lady Blues moved on in Bracket Play this morning, edging USA Fastpitch 4 - 3. Kara Gordon hits a 2 run bomb in bottom of fifth for the winning margin. Constance Orr pitched 5 strong innings in relief.

    Next up for the Lady Blues, an 8pm game vs. The Young Guns, who defeated a tough Conklin Raiders team in extra innings, 3 - 2.

    It was nice to see Charlie, Todd and Scotty of the Cobras come cheer the Blues on this morning at the 8am game. Thanks guys for the support. The Lady Blues will definitely be there to cheer on the Cobras as they take on the Texas Glory in a 4pm match up today.
