Reports are coming in slowly... must be the heat...

13's - no final as of 6:15. Tied 14-14 with Tennessee and going extra innings

15's - rain and lots of it. Game pushed back from 4 to 8 o'clock start at different venue (I guess one that drains well).

Will post more as things develop...

    After 4 complete, Greenville still leads 5 - 1
*After giving up back to back HRs, TN replaced their pitcher who finished out the inning. When he was returning back to the mound the top of the next inning, he jumped over the foul ine (think Schilling), landed wrong, and wrenched his knee. He had to be carried off the field and TN is now on their 3rd pitcher who just gave up a solo shot to Wilborne, now making it 6-1, top 5th.*
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Bottom 6
    Greenville 10
    TN 1

Diesel the word that I got was that Chase hit 2 homeruns. I guess that was wrong, what in the world was wrong with him tonight to only hit one?? Clay Medlin was sending false info back to Rocky Mount!!

One's a plenty... full house at that game, so you know what that means - good luck seeing anything else to hit the rest of the week...lol

Apparently everyone swung it good last night. Going into a tourney like this having had to face a team like Nash 4 times in 2 weeks gets your sticks (and defense) prepared for quality pitching and teams...

Coach was enjoying himself last night, so any bad information sent your way had good intentions...lol

    Diesel.......

......I have enjoyed watching your son mature over the years. I haven't seen him play a lot since the Greenville Little League days but he has always been a talent and he seemed to be a hard worker from seeing him at Triple Crown. Talent and hard work is a great combo.

I look forward to seeing him on the Rose varsity next year. I think he has an opportunity to be one of the better power hitters to come out of Rose in a long time and you know how RV likes the long ball. I hope to see a lot of homers (& hits) next year, especially when my son is pitching (lol)!!!

Good luck to both Greenville teams. I hope like heck they can make the Babe Ruth World Series because it was an awesome experience a couple of years ago for players and parents. It ranks right up there (not quite but close) with experiencing this years' Greenville Rose 4A state championship.

    Dear Diesel,

It is quite apparent that you have an extremely talented son. When the time comes and you need an outside advisor, don't forget ol' Braves and Stretchy's Baseball and Fishin' Advisors to the Future Stars. We have quite a few talented young studs in our fold...starting with Leonard "Ugly Stick" Farnhorne (the only professional fisherman that fishes from a portable hammock in his boat) and the famous Mortimer (8 finger) Tokunaga. Mordy (as we call him) has been turning heads and gathering much attention with his double split fingered fastball. The ball actually drops twice in his delivery. EDIT: I would like to add that Stretchy taught him that pitch while we were advising him.

I would like to also add that we advised Cameron Maybin and Madison Bumgarner, as well. They didn't take our advice, but....what the heck...we gave it to them for free.

Okay, getting back on topic. When young Diesel starts getting pressure from those pro guys, don't let them try to take advantage of you...go with the real pros, Braves and Stretchy's Advisor to the Stars

    Your pal,

    Braves
