    Maybe someone

with the SCP can tell us who that nice looking LHP was that started the game against the Hammond Chiefs was? He didnt have a name on his jersey and he was not on the roster. I understand they just picked him up a couple of weeks ago. I can tell you this he was very good. I think someone said he was working in the 83-84 range with his fastball. The kid had a great curveball and knew how to pitch. I would be interested in learning his name and what year he is. The kid was very good imo.

    Excellent command

The Maples boy on the South 16u team really impressed me on the bump.

    Awesome weekend of Baseball

    Random highlights:

What an intense battle between the Cubs and Richmond Braves on Friday nite at ECU, 7 run comeback in bottom of the last inning as CUBS win CUBS win! The game only went 4 innings due to time limit.

Tri-State Arsenal and Virginia Aces really have some very nice coaches!

Jeff May can really hit some bombs!!!

My Buddy working his first showcase had to toss a MOM from the ballpark in order to be able to finish a game!

Team Tarboro, made up at the 11th hour with players/coaches from Edgecombe County and Clayton and Greenville enjoy themselves to the limit and play their hearts out against the powerful North Canes. Many thanks to everyone that helped put the team together!

One of the players on the Charlotte Heat has one of the most beautiful girlfriends I have seen in a long long time! Scott is it your son? Jason Harris is an outstanding coach!

The secret lefty (Jordan Hudson) for the SC Panthers is the real deal. Coach Danny is a lot of fun and yes I did see the Chiefs lefty borderline balking but my boss told me to leave it alone!

The Hammond Indiana Chiefs coach has a sharp eye as he is always making sure the runners touch the bases AND yes the Cavaliers runner did miss first base! The Chiefs catcher can really jaw with the plate umpire!

The four Quarterfinal games were excellent matchups with very good pitching! Brandon Huffman pitched outstanding for S. Canes!

The East Coast Grays coach owes me a return phone call!!!

The Wilson Bulldogs played like Doberman Pinchers all weekend!

The Greenville area is an excellent place for a big showcase event with all the high school fields and Pitt Community College being so close to ECU!

Jeff Petty, AKA Rose Bush, is as competitive as they come and really enjoys the games!

When Diesel1 and SoutherNo1 enter the stadium trouble is sure to start!

AND last but not least once again Braves was no where to be seen!!

I'm guessing who this is. They have an impressive 2010 team with an excellent LHP Jesse Brewer from (I believe) the Rock Hill area. They may have brought him up for this tournament.

By The Way South Hurricanes Won The Touranment

South Canes won the championship! Brandon Huffman pitched a great game in the first round of the playoffs to beat one of the best teams in the tournament Tri-State Arsenal.

Everyone always talks about how great the North is and they do have a great team, but Coach Collins is going to have to build a trophy room here soon. They won the Championship at the Beach 3 weeks ago as well. If the south team add some top flight arms to that team to go with Brandon Browne and the pop in that line up with those 2010s they have.

    LHP for South Charlotte

Coach, I'm not sure if it was him but it could have been Jordan Hudson, an unsigned 09. I saw him pitch with the Legion Post 8 team this year and was impressed. He pitched a game for Team Carolina at UNCC and they called Don about him. Lots of upside. Good kid. Fast. Can play outfield. Just needs to be seen....... I hadn't seen him play since he played with Levi Micheal on the AAU Mariners.

Jordan Hudson (I believe a 2009 from West Davidson)

Pitched extremely well, keeping the Hammond Indiana Chiefs off balance all night. Corey Roberts finished that game; how would you like to go from a Jordan Hudson to a Corey Roberts? Talk about contrast.

Jesse Brewer, another talented LHP was with the 2010 team at UNCW.
