2-5 after 6... not looking good...

3-5 Final... Leesburg advances to play Tallahassee for SE Regional Championship

The FLA teams are very tough. Lumberton hosted the 15 year old SE Regional last year, and the two FLA teams were awesome. Big, physical, athletic, and well coached they were. North FL (Tallahassee) won the tournament. Nash County had an excellent entry in that tourney as well.

Greenville showed some fight in the seventh going into the inning down 5-2 with 6-7-8 coming to the plate. They were able to push one across and had the bases loaded with 2 outs and the best hitter in the tourney at the plate in Chase McDonald. Chase ended up lining out to 2nd and hit it hard. Congrats to Greenville on a great run and great job representing Eastern North Carolina.

You are correct about the Fla teams- I thought last year as 14's Sarasota had the most talent of anyone, especially their shortstop.

I believe that Tallahassee was in the finals of the World Series last year and lost.

Thanks for the kind words about Nash County- we were very disappointed last year, we thought we had the pitching to run the table, wasn't ment to be.

I agree with fcpirate I still believe that Sarasota was the best team last year in Lumberton. We sure did have the best pitching there but the coach screwed it up and couldn't get the job done. I still to this day play this tourney through my head and think about what we could have done different.
