So after 10 years of playing in rubber, my daughter sprained her ankle bad rounding first when she went back to them after using metal in hs and had NEVER done that prior. Is that because she was used to the traction in metal? It was one of those fields that had the hard clay with the loose little granular dirt on top. What do y'all think? (could have been that she gained awesome speed that she hadn't had before.....hahaha)

    It's Apples and Oranges.....

You cannot make that comparison. Girls have nothing to put "in" a cup, so there's no need for that type of protection. But, they do both have feet, faces, and heads, so you can compare shoes, facemasks, helmets, etc. No need for a helmet for the "headless horseman" now is it?

Not trying to be absurd since I heard last year that they were considering the requirement. Of course it could have been a rumor as you know how those things go. I am not female, but I think you underestimate the pain getting hit there causes... ask your daughters. Btw that is why they make pelvic protection for women.

I was trying to find a comparison that made sense to your title 9 explanation your reaction was unnecessary. I hear a lot of pros and cons about metal cleats but never heard the title 9 reason so it seemed odd, thats all.

Metal year round. Injuries will happen no matter what you have on your feet. They wear them in college so let them wear them in the summer.

I've heard it said: Girls don't have to wear cups; their brain is in their head.
