    Clayton-11 over Hope Mills-8

Hope Mills eliminated, Clayton will play winner of Rowan/Randolph on Friday.

Finals of winners bracket between Rowan and Randolph Counties getting started at this very moment (approx. 8:05pm).

Area I hangin' in there... Come on boys

Thing I don't like about these 8-team formats. You will have a 3-0 team (Rowan/Randolph) playing an "I dont care" game tomorrow night against Clayton. They don't HAVE to win and they need their pitching moreso on Championship day in case they have to win two games against the same team. This happened in JR Legion as well. To be sure there's a better 8-team format out there?

And by the way... no disrespect to the legion officials who decided to use it. I think they do a dern good job in the things they do. I just don't like the "I dont care" game that is thrown in there. I know, I know... if you win the "I dont care" game then you are in great shape on Championship Day, but the whole "you don't have to win" scenario is stuck in your head.

See 1st post on page 1 of this thread for updated schedule for tomorrow's games.

Randolph County beats Rowan County 7-1 in winner's bracket finals tonight. Randolph is in good shape now being the only undefeated team remaining, and they are playing great ball.
