If my sources are correct, EB

didn't lose any juniors to Draughn. According to the Hickory Daily Record, EB had 100 kids come out for JV and Varsity. I know Draughn had over 60 start out, I think that number is around 56 now. At one time they had 8 juniors but only 4 had played in high school. Again, this is if my info is correct. EB's JV team averaged 44 points last year and Coach Bigg's was quoted in the Hickory paper as saying this could be the most athletic group of juniors since he's been at EB. I know some may quit before pads are handed out and some will quit after pads are handed out but pretty impressive that Eastern Burke County had around 160 kids come out for high school football.

 

I'm wondering what the mood is at Freedom. No disrespect but the place has too many athletes to play like they have the last few years IMO. I would be interested in some input from some Patriot fans.

 

How did EB's jv's do against AC Reynolds jv's last year?

The Reynolds JV quarterback that played in the game against East Burke JVs last year, and #1 aren't even on the Rocket varsity team this year. #1 is still on the JV team as a sophomore.

 

Ill bite. Im not putting WHS in these rankings but no way do we finish 5th.

1. East Burke (Until someone can stop Shatley)
2. AC Reynolds (Find some offense and go to number 1 in a hurry)
3. Freedom
4. Alexander Central
5. Freedom
6. McDowell (young, no studs like Kincaid)

 

So are you going with Freedom 3rd or 5th

 

Find some offense? ACR returns over HALF the offense from last year, and will be much much deeper on the offensive side of the ball. Passing game will be much improved, and no we don't have a Spencer in the backfield, but don't think our TB isn't fast this year as well. I expect ACR to score MORE this year then last.

 

Somebody is bound to upset ACR
