    Named MVP in the All American AFLAC game today in Dodger Stadium. Brian drove in the go ahead run in the top of the ninth in the East's come from behind 4-2 win.

    We are all proud of one of our own

    What a great honor to a humble young man. Congrats to Mom and Dad for raising a great kid. He has won so many individual and team awards and he is deserving of each one.

    Congrats to Brian Goodwin. What a great and deserving young man. One last thing to all those who think or thought that Goodwin is overrated...:10_6_4: !!! Word is that they are changing the sign in LA from HOLLYWOOD to HOLLYGOOD!!!:th_90edab00: TIME FOR WOODLIGHTS AND FREESTYLIN IN THE WOOD SHED!!!

    As I said in May this is the best player to come through NC since Maybin (hard to compare pitchers and position players players so we won't count Bumgarner since he is a pitcher). Best of luck to him as he begins his senior year.

    By the way, how great is it for NC to have 3 players in the Aflac game?

    It's cool... This year's class should have included Messer. There may be other pitchers more electric, but none has his combination of stuff, style and competitiveness

    Pro or College next season?

    If he gets drafted in the first round he might just not go to UNC where he has committed.

    Brian has verbally committed to be a Tarheel, although it remains to be seen whether he will ever play a game of college baseball or not.

    We were all pulling for you while we were down in Columbia SC. After going crazy at the end of the game the waitress said you all must know someone playing in that game.

    We proudly said yes we know the MVP!
