If anyone can dig up any W/L records that are not posted above, throw'em at me and I'll add'em.

Btw, I agree only 3 losses all year is very impressive too.

    One thing to consider...

The weather,,,, because with Tropical Storm Fay currently sliding across Florida, they don't know where it'll go next, but extended forecasts show 30-40% rain in NC starting Friday thru next midweek. And if that mess heads this way, even if its only rain, it could wash out everything for a couple days or so.

During my travels, I spent close to a year in Sumter SC in 2006 when Sumter hosted their state tournament. As luck would have it, the motel where I was staying was only about a block away from Post 15's field. I got to learn quite a bit about the history of Sumter Post 15. Sumter was the second legion team to be formed and joined the legion program. If not mistaken this year would make 12 state titles to their credit. Bobby Richardson who played for the Yankees and a great friend to The Mickey Mantle still lives in Sumter and is a big supporter of local baseball in Sumter. He has lunch everyday at the same small town cafe. Sumter really knew how to put on a State Tournament and they are rich in baseball tradition. The people of Sumter are really proud of Post 15, much like Caldwell, Cherryville, Shelby and etc are proud of their Post. The players in Sumter take a lot of pride in wearing that uniform. So hats off to Sumter South Carolina.

Well I'm pretty sure the tournament organizing committee would certainly like to see the host team Shelby (or some other local team) in the World Series, especially after seeing the huge crowds they had last weekend (26,000 thru just 4 days),,,,, but even tho theres not a North Carolina team playing in this thing, there will surely be some great baseball to watch, probably big names on these other teams nationwide, and (someone asked about scouts), pretty sure you can see a college coach or 2 in Shelby next week or so.

Btw, once again, for those who cannot make it to Shelby, all games will again be broadcast live at:
