Jon Sharpe- Watauga high, 09, Rhp. 7-1 record in a tough conference as a junior, gets it up around 90 with a solid hook.

Tyler Vaughn: 2B, C Hayesville HS
This is a young man that in my opinion is one of the best contact hitters in NC. Solid line drive hitter with with some gap power and occassional tank. Plays the game well, doing things that need to be done, hitting behind runners, great hit and run guy. Strikeouts with this young man are a rarity. Can pick it at 2B. Great kid, Great student, Great baseball player. This kid is a winner and I am telling you, he is going to make a phenomenal college player at any level.

William Head: MIF, P Asheville HS
Will post more information on him as I have some more time, but in a nutshell, good arm at 2B, finds ways to get on base and when he does is a threat to steal a base or two and finds way to score. Will post more in a day or so. I really like to watch this young man play the game.

I'll second that one on Jon Sharpe from Watauga...young man has a powerful arm and a very good hook...He should be an all-state pitcher and D1's should be calling soon if they aren't already.

Tom is also very durable, played this summer for Western Forsyth Post 522 American Legion team. We played 33 games in about 45 days and he caught all but 3 games.

I think Woodall is a jr. He should fare well this year as they should have some sticks around him in their lineup. You're right though, he's going to be a stud by his senior year.

Hawley will likely opt for football; he's an excellent student and some Ivy League schools are after him as a QB. Though I understand that some schools are trying to convince him to come pitch for them.

My son was at camp with Milnichick from Apex and he threw very well sitting upper 80's with good command. In terms of 09's, the NEW-6 provides some studs at Rocky Mount, Fike, and Northern Nash.

He play against us (Greenville Rose) in the playoffs and I was extremely impressed with him behind the plate (and at the plate). He was aggressive and accurate with his throws and did a great job handling his pitchers. Definitely an impressive catcher.

    Thanks.

Speaking of Ivy League Schools, there is a 09 Pitcher at Cardinal Gibbons who I believe may be destined for the Ivy League and could make a decision at any point. James Todd... Tall kid with a little pop and good curve. He's going to go to a top academic school for sure and has been in talks with some of them about baseball.

Ill third Jon Sharpe, been clocked in 90's with a fast curve in the low 80's. Ill also add Adam Church from Watauga. Batted over .500 in conference last year with 5 home runs. Try to remember that he faced rhoney twice and delivered a game winner off of him. Faced Messer twice and Penny once. Also faced sidearm pitcher from AC Reynolds. Tough pitching conference last year. That's rediculous to bat over .500 in. He took Messer off the fence and delivered in the conference tournament against Rhoney. D1 schools should be jumping all over him.
