You Can Always Tell Seasonal Change !!

For the next several months into the winter the softball forum will eventually go into hibernation. As I have viewed the board over the past few weeks it's usual memebers are either in the process of moving their DD's to college or just burned out over a period of spring and summer threshing the board, at any rate every time this year until the first early scrimmage of the spring high school season the brags,and the promoting go back into the storage chest. Next year their will be new threaders on the board,because their kids will have reached the high school glamour and new post will pop up like daisies !! Everybody have a great fall,and good luck to all the kids in the QDSS, and the upcoming showcases !!!

SEASONAL CHANGE

I haven't posted on TBR in a long time, mostly because I don't know what I'm talking about, but I have been an avid reader. I guess you answered my question as why things weren't quite as exciting as they was awhile back when high school was going on. I know it was quite a stir when the new coach came to Central last year, but now she's gone, a new one is in place, but nothing has been posted. The post about Morgan Hopper was interesting. don't know much about her, except I seen her pitch a couple times & she seemed pretty good. I can't figure out why she would leave Central when they may be in need of a strong pitcher with Morgan being gone & Emma over at Hickory Ridge. Outside of that it has been just regular reading, but i look forward to high school ball. I don't get to too many tournaments so it's hard to follow the players unless I read about them on TBR. So keep the posts coming, because I sure like to read them. To the ones who put this board on the air, thanks for all you do. And to you Mr. Guru, thanks for answering my question.

 

Showcase,Tournament,Scrimmage,Jamboree?

Whatever , you want to call it, I want to THANK Everyone that posted! After listing on TBR , we have ,as of this moment gotten commitments from 6 new teams and are past half way in reaching our limit of 36 teams. This is unusual , we usually do not reach the numbers until November.

***Need some more teams from the West. W. Johnston , Laney , WFR , etc. are ready to get some early season "hindparts"

A lot of times when we appear to be knit picking it is only to get a topic going...majority of the time there is no malicious premeditated obnoxious behavior, just trying to get a stirring going on a particular topic !! Not offended at all , sorry that you took it that way. I agree "IT is ALL for the girls". Hey , we got some attention for our gathering , which is great! I love the discussion and do not wear my feelings on my sleeve..been coaching womens' softball for 26 years(Fastpitch for 7 years) believe me , in the earlier years , you had to fight certain notions and have a thick skin. We've come a long way and you guys do a wonderful job promoting the game! I really did mean THANK YOU!!!!

I know what you speak of! It is hard for us (home bound peeps) to have nothing to read when we log into this forum, some of us depend on this forum to keep our mind sharp and our wrist working! LOL The fall is when we should be talking the most to try and discuss all the issues that came up in this past season and that will surely come up again in the future seasons! So everybody get to posting! Keep us home bound peeps busy! LOL

The Riverside By The Creek High School_________ has gotten the publicity/attention that we needed to promote our event. Wanted to try to reach some new participants..could not think of a more avid group of fastpitch softball people than on TBR!
