East Burke and Patton

    Can someone explain to me why EB and Patton didn't play this year. With the economy like it is and gas being so high, how can they not play each other and EB go to South Carolina to play and Patton go to Andrews and play. You might as well be in Georgia if you go to Andrews. This makes no sense to me.

    Simple, Patton wants to make the playoffs, why play a team that is better and risk losing a game...when you can schedule a game that you can win and help get you to 4 wins......more $$$$ at the end of the season than for 1 game.

    I think the EB game would

    have been at Patton and that would have been a nice payday for Patton. If they make the playoffs, they may be on the road. Going to Andrews sure wasn't cheap, especially if you claim to be having a tough time with finances.

    I have also heard since Patton wouldn't play EB in football, EB is not going to play Patton in any other sport this year. JMO but I think it goes back to when EB didn't want to be in that split conference Patton wanted to happen.
