    Nike bat

It is the white Nike bat I keep hearing about the fielders not being able to see the ball off the bat is the reason for concern.

As a corner infielder and pitcher, I must say, I never really had a problem picking the ball up off the white nike bat. I never heard anyone on my team complain about it either. 3 of my team mates and I all hit with it in batting practice and in games and no one truly said two words about it. Maybe because we had a back stop that it was easy to pick the ball up from, but people are different so who truly knows?

according to the 2009 NFHS Baseball rules changes that I recieved last week, there is no mention about the white bat, or any other color. The only thing that is important is if the Ball exit speed ratio is on the bat (BESR)

Listen, I spent some time asking around and checking for information. This is what I posted. U-R-OUT ruled out the color issue and raised the same point as my post. If somebody is going to take their time and help you with research, I don't suggest that you reply "Finally, a real answer"

White bats have been outlawed before. Don't remember the year but when Mike Schildt was at UNCC he gave me a bunch of equipment, old uniforms, catchers gear, etc. He gave me 7 or 8 of the old white with black writing TPX bats that still looked fine to me. I asked what was wrong with them. He said nothing, they're great bats but the NCAA has ruled against us being able to use them. Said it was because players were having trouble picking up the white ball off the white bat. I didn't research it cause I had no reason to, just took his word for it. I still have a couple of those bats. My son used them some for cage bats until their technology became so outdated he just wouldn't use them anymore. Just passing this along.
