The 4 pool winners will advance to Sunday for the semi-finals and championship game at Wesleyan College. The other teams will play consolation games on Sunday at the RM Sports Complex and Faith Christian High School. Braves can you be the tournament Director?

When I look at the teams in this event I have only heard of one team (Proehlific Power). I make this point to support my belief that showcase continues to not just expand but EXPLODE. Of course this could be a good thing. More kids playing ball is good. Good luck in your upcoming event.

Stretchy, please, please don't take this comment the wrong way. I'm not speaking to the quality of teams in this event because I have no idea about how these teams play. I am looking at this from the standpoint of growth in showcase. I know some of these teams must be pretty good because the Wilson team just defeated a Dirtbag team as well as the Canes.

I have a younger son (14). Hanging around many of the kids and parents he plays ball with at school and in USSSA I keep hearing how so many say they plan on starting up showcase teams when their kids get older. I'm thinking, "how many teams are we going to have?" Where is this going?

 

Greenville Rose is a High School team... JH Rose from Greenville... guess you might not of heard of them.

But, I do see your point. Seeing lots of new names, but maybe thats simply an avenue for kids to play through the Fall that want to garner that experience and know what they will need to work on through the Winter?

Wish I could be there oh Stretchable one... but will be in Greenville for the tourney... may try and slip over there Saturday AM if the Warden will let me out on good behavior...

Don't you just love it that when there is something good in this world EVERYONE wants a piece of it.

 

Like I said, I think it's a good thing. More kids playing ball. Just interesting/curious where all this is going.

Remember when you hear a score

that these tourneys are not age specific. And some teams play with wood and others with metal. Some teams are playing with 12's and 11's vs 09's.

Some teams pitch a different pitcher every inning and rotate the line up throughout the game. Other teams run their best guy out there and leave him for the distance. Some teams might only hit 9 while the other team is hitting everyone.

There is no excuse in not being ready to play and not executing everytime you step on the field. But there are also other factors to consider and if your not actually there you have no idea.
