    Jessica Haigler hit a three run homer over the center field fence in a losing cause. That is her second home run this season.

    Sorry haven't been on TBR lately. Belmont Middle is the only undefeated team left right now. We have Stanley, Chavis, Mt. Holly and Grier left. I always look forward to the Chavis game. That is Friday. League isn't as strong as it normally is. Wonder why that is?

    Lost to Chavis 5-4, extra innings. Pitcher walked in winning run. Not a great way to lose a ball game. We did not play our best game. We look forward to seeing Chavis again in the Playoffs or Championship.

    Still sticking with my guns and stating that the league is weak. Wondering where all these great girls are that play TB all year round. I've been coaching for 8 or 9 years in Gaston County. I'm seeing a decline in talent and not an incline. What's wrong with this picture?

    To alll who has seen C.C.Griffin Flying Lions, they are very well coached and also a young team with only 4 8th graders.Team still undefeated.Big game on Monday against Mt.Pleasant.

    Middle school playoffs?

    Probably not the right thread for this but you have playoffs for middle school? We don't in Wake county. Wish we did! We play 14 games and are done. Ended up tying for the conference championship. Would have loved to have playoffs to decide it. Guess it is because we play in the spring and softball season runs right up against EOG testing.

    As for TB girls... We don't get many girls that have played TB before (those are all in Garner) either. Heck, we typically get girls who have never played any softball before but I like the challenge of taking raw talent/athletes and teaching them the love for the game and good fundamentals. Several of them are now playing TB. What more could you ask for???

    Championship game

    Our conference (Lincoln, Cleveland, Rutherford counties) has an east and west division. The first place teams in each division meet for a one Game championship at the end of the year. Unless things change, this year it should be Kings Mountain middle (east div) with only one loss to my knowledge vs Crest middle (west div) undefeated.

    My DD plays TB with players from both teams.
