Our football forum needs a little more participation......more than just reporting scores and complaining about coaches/losses.....so here goes:

The SW4A looks to be the cream of the crop again......who is playing "next level" and where are they going? Where are the studs from "your" conference headed? Who are they and what college will they be attending?

By the way, whatever happened to Eric Britenstein (sp?) from Watauga? I saw him a lot of Football Friday Night the last couple of years and I loved the way he played the game......

Are there any unsung players out there that play the way that Britenstein used to? Who are they? I need to find some new players to follow in the box scores and in the highlights.....I like "blue collar" players as opposed to the flashy types. Any takers?

Thanks for the update on EB.
Is he red-shirting or playing? If so, what position?

Guess nobody wants to talk about the good Sr. talent this year....oh, well.
Reckon I'll just read about them in the paper and watch Football Friday Night!

Yep.....it needs more dialogue and participation by the members. It's only as good as the members make it.

There is so much to be discussed from players to teams; recaps to highlights. Relationships are formed by the community of the forum. This is what I would like to see.

All of the other things are fun, but discussions are what TBR Prep forums are known for and I would like to see more of that here.

The two best players that I have seen this season are Desmond Lowery at South Point and Rudy Cabral at AC Reynolds. Lowery is a 6'3 qb that runs the South Point option. Cabrall is a load at linebacker and tight end. Both will play on Saturdays.

I had heard that South Point has 2 major D1 players. I know that Lowery is one, but who is the other? and what schools appear to be in the picture?

The fullback Crumbly is a good player but I'm not sure he is division 1. No doubt on Lowery though.

Eric has played quite a bit a Wofford. Had a very good start to the season but missed the last two games to a hamstring injury. Should be back this week. 20 carries for 130 yards in 2 games with a long run of 46 yards.

Thanks for the input, WiseOne and Rams12bb....
I'll keep an eye out for that 6'3" QB from SouthPoint...and thanks for the update on EB at Wofford.

I saw a clip on Boone (QB @ Weddington 6' 2" 222lbs) that said he had scholarship offers from Duke and Illinois. Interesting, considering they haven't won a game this year. I don't know much about him, but he must be a player.

Also, am trying to figure out what is going on at Mallard Creek?!?!?! 7-0 in their second year of existence, after a tough first year. They have a 6'3" Sophomore QB, Marquise Williams, but it takes a lot more than a QB to execute that much of a turnaround. Anybody from that school care to share the secrets????

Also, seeing great things about Pinkston @ Mooresville and Parks at West Rowan. Don't know anything about them except for what I read in the paper. Anybody know anything about these stud RB's??? Are they on anybody's radar screen?

You big boys in the west need to take notice on one down east team. Harnett Central has posted an 8-0 season. This includes defeating 4 4a schools and none other than Hoggard, you know last years 4a state champ. They are led by a dynamic sophmore Brian Taylor who will definately play on Saturdays in a couple years.
