The thing I like about Reynolds is his ability to have fun while explaining a situation. He speaks to the viewer as if he was in your house watching the game with you. And he was equally as good doing the Little League games as he is doing the Major League one's.

Hersheiser is excellent explaining circumstances from a pitcher's point of view. Any young pitcher watching a game that he works will pick up many pointers on how to improve yourself. He is excellent

He is great on PTI, though. He and Wilbon crack me up.

Well..I could definitely stand him MORE on PTI, but he just tries WAY too hard on MNF. They need to get rid of him. He looks like a fish outta water in the booth. And good grief...doesn't he realize he's not fooling anyone with that combover? Who's he trying to look good for? He needs more help than a comb over.

Another McCarver trait that really makes me crazy: There is a runner on first who gets picked off for the first out of the inning. After 15 more pitches from the windup and another out recorded, a hitter smokes a double into the gap and McCarver tells everyone the runner that got picked off would have scored on that double. Well, I don't believe for a minute that that double would have ever occurred in the sequence that everything unfolded after the runner was picked off. Hundreds of different things would have occurred if that runner was still on....from the batter trying to move him over, to the pitcher pitching from the stretch, to different pitches being called, to different defensive alignments, etc. It's just stupid to make that same lame comment everytime the opportunity presents itself.....but we can count on Timmy to give it to us everytime.

McCarver is a wanna be coach, he is always second guessing what every coach does, we all would never lose a game with 20/20 hindsight, like braves said time for him to move on the horse racing annoucing in Fl.:snore:
