I think that AK is probably the odds on favorite ..... BUT ...... you cannot forget about Providence and the way they started their season last year and especially they way they finished. With Richie & Kurt Semeniuk on the mound, they should be in every game. Myers Park will be very strong as well, look for all three to be there at the end! I do look for a few surprises from a team that most are over looking at this point! Hint, hint ..... More on that later!:trampoline:

Gee thanks for your support! All kidding aside, "that team" "ARGUABLY" will have one of the deepest pitching staffs in the conference. If all goes well, they should make their presence known around the conference! should be a lot of fun to watch!:20:

I agree. South Meck should make a lot of noise in the conference this year. It will be interesting to see how they progress. I see them anywhere from 3rd to 5th....and if they have some things go their way...who knows. This is their best "team" since 2006

Mincmi, great evaluation of the SW4A as usual. You are absolutely the BEST (sorry Braves) at analyzing baseball in our area and I always enjoy reading your posts.

PhillyDave, I don't think that SM is being overlooked by anyone who knows anything about SW4A baseball. You guys got a bunch of quality guys at most every position and you definitely have a good pitching staff. I think this will be your year to challenge the big dogs. Another great year in the SW4A, should be fun to watch.

If you do, please share it with the other schools. To this date, there has been no formula created short of just walking him

    No information sharing, please!

The strength of pitching this year will be no different than in years past. Many college bound pitchers will be taking the mound throughout the conference each and every night. Those guys have egos, confidence, determination or whatever you want to call it; but they don't like giving free rides. A few batters will be intentionally walked or pitched around in certain situations, but I think most coaches are going to allow their pitchers to challenge the batters. In a little over three months, I guess we'll find out. Good luck to all!
