Hey Dalai- I'm getting a lot of feedback from players that want/need a good off season workout program and advice on developing more arm strength. Is this something that you do?

    Thanks in advance

    Off Season Programs:

    Braves-

I do off season programs along with mechanics and mental approach to the art of pitching each day at Carolinas Baseball Center. I am there most nights other than Tuesday nights. Thanks for the help!

It would be great if you could give the members on here your background. I know people are a bit uncomfortable speaking about themselves, but you have a rich history of experience and still young enough to relate to the HS guys. For a long time, there were not many pitching instructors in Charlotte

    My History

Braves: You are correct as I do not like to talk about myself but as anyone today knows, you have to do it sometimes:

    So here it goes.

I am a Charlotte Native who grew up playing at Olde Providence Rec. I attended Middle School at Carmel junior high before attending high school at Myers Park. At Myers Park I was coached my Greg Clewis who did a great job in furthering my baseball career.
During the winter of my senior year of High School I signed with NC State Univ. before being drafted and signing with the New York Yankees the following summer.
Over the past 14 years I had the opportunity to play with and be coached by some of the most knowledgeable people in the game. (Coaches: Billy Connors-Leo Mazone-Eric Wedge-Carl Willis-Juan Nieves-Lee Mazzilli-Greg Hibbard) (Players: John Smoltz-Greg Maddux-Tom Glavine-Bob Wickman-Andy Pettite)
    Organizations played with: Yankees/Braves/Rockies/Indians/Reds/White Sox

I believe that being able to take bits and pieces from each player and coach has allowed me to help kids just starting to pitch, as well as Professional pitchers who have come to me for help in-season and out of season. In my years of playing I constantly picked the brains of my peers and coaches, learning how they approached the game. This has helped me in approaching each individual pitcher. (lefty/righty/side arm, etc.....)
In this I always give the God the glory for allowing me to have the opportunities in my own career as well as helping all those I come in contact with.
I hope this helps to tell my story/history. If anyone has any questions or wants for me to help their kid my number and info are below.

Thanks Jake. Sometimes it's good for people to know who is who on this board. I'm glad that you shared this...it is quite impressive.

    Jake Robbins - Pitching Coach

If your son gets a chance to work with Jake even one time - you will be hooked. Great coach of the mechanics and the mental side of pitching - and in a very positive way.

For young pitchers that need to learn how to pitch properly to prevent injuries, this is a great opportunity.
For more experienced pitchers trying to get to the next level - same thing - an opportunity you should take.

Jake also is the head pitching coach for the CBC Cougars Showcase oraganization. He has done a great job with three pitching staffs.
