Just reading thourgh and it struck me. We all know that there are injuries due to normal wear and tear. How does this play into a kid going to college. Not talking about career ending. Just does a college coach look at the chance that that knee, elbow, muscle or other body part being a problem later....

I've noticed in all the questionaires my son has filled out that they all ask about injury history. I would think when it comes to baseball that an arm injury/shoulder injury catches their eye more than a broken nose. Same in football. I'm betting an ACL tear is a bigger concern than a broken arm. But that's just a guess.

    injury history...

matters alot! Any and every organization, whether pro or college wants to know what they are getting into. Most will shy away from injury prone players or major surgeries unless the kid shows "MORE THAN ONCE, OVER A PERIOD OF TIME", he is back to 100%

My son attended a camp and was told by a college coach that they expect to see slow 60 times in August due to the wear and tear of the long baseball season.

    Hopefully Not Miss Senior Year

I know a kid in Florida that missed his senior year due to a muscle pulling loose off the hip. He had not signed yet, but had some good prospects until then. He is trying to get some juco time and then sign...
Luckily he was/is a good student.

Think that is very important for parents and kids to know you still need good grades.
