What are everyone's thoughts for this spring? North Davidson lost Levi Michael but will still be VERY good, West Forsyth returns alot of pitching and players, Mount Tabor returns there 2 starting pitchers and others along with some position players, Davie County returns a few good players, Reynolds returns some pitching and position players and I do not know alot about North Forsyth.
Should be another competetive year again in the CPC.

    IMO

ND will need a leader. Losing LM will be a leadership blow. Not sure who the staff has prepared for this spot. As well as other positions. Maybe someone with insight could give us their starting line up?

ND lost Levi (UNC), Tyler Hanover (LSU), Zack White (Wake Forest), & Clay Watson (Catawba). If Coach Meadows & staff can plug that hole, they need to go to Washington & fix the economy!

Amen, brother!!! I expect that ND will have to play a little more small ball this year and get contributions from the whole line up. Zach Joyce (App St) will have to be the man in the big games. The kid has got great stuff, he just had a hard time finding innings behind White and Watson. I look for big things out of him. Jordan Slate must also come up big in the middle of the lineup. He doesn't have the pop that Hanover and Levi provided, but he finds a way to get the barrell on the ball - a lot. He should be a key RBI man. Kelly Secrest will be asked to do quite a bit too. I think he'll be their #2 on the mound and he'll be in the outfield when not on the mound. In my opinion, these three guys will be the key to ND competing night in and night out, but if Landon Lassiter is as advertised, he could be key as well.

Knight in and Knight out (ha ha), they will be prepared and coached up well. Are they the team to beat - I don't think so. Tabor and W. Forsyth will be tough, and Davie was pretty young last year so they will be good. But hey, in the CPC, folks beat up on each other pretty good, so I imagine it will be pretty tight come the end of the regular season.

Interesting times at ND. Meadows and the boys may actually have to coach and just not roll out the balls. I think Lassister is all that is advertised. The two Lefties will be formidable pitchers, the return of Michael Pilcher, and rising soph Jordan Ramsey from the JV's. the staff isn't completly depleted, just short on innings. The JV team was solid last year, will just get thrown into the fire as sophs this year. CPC is brutal this year with Tabor leading the way with tremendous arms, and West and Davie will reload. North and RJR will put a scare in everyone. ND has to scratch for runs anyway possible, or toss alot of shutouts. That is tough in the CPC. Look for alot of young blood (Fr& So) on the field and working towards the future. May take a couple of years but they will be back. You don't lose that type of Talent and not take a step back. Remember Watson, White, Michael all started as Freshman on the Varsity. That's why you play the game.

No offense, but I take exception if you are implying that Mike & Staff didn't coach their butts off last year & every year. My son started in college as a Freshman NOT because he is a good athlete (he's short, slow, & has no power) but because Coach Meadows & Staff made him the smartest player. Ty was 5 steps ahead of every Freshman in our conference in things like moving up on a pitch in the dirt, taking good angles to the ball, recognizing a change-up, etc etc etc. And Mike instilled toughness in him.

Give him equal talent & Mike wins every time.

I agree that Coach Meadows and his staff does a great job with their program and always having their team prepared. Their facility is one of the best in the state as well. We are getting closer to February and hopefully another great year in the CPC as well as across the whole state.

Who will be some of the top players from all of the teams in the CPC this year?
I know of Zach Joyce, younger Lassiter, Pilcher, Slate, and the other young players from ND.
West-Dustin Myers and Tyler Coyle, Jonathan Holt, and I am sure others because they always seem to reload.
Mount Tabor has Mat Batts, Parker Thomas, Brad Wrege, Joey Kahler, and I am sure others.
Davie has Ryan Carter, Jacob Vernon, Jess Cartner, and others.
Reynolds has at least 1 of the lefties back and probably some other good players.
North Forsyth had alot of young players last year and I do not know who all they have returning.
Let me know everyone else's thoughts on the top players from each team?
