Charlotte Cobras 18U - Casey Baucom

    Casey Baucom (2B for The Charlotte Cobras & SS/2B/P for Piedmont HS) verbally committed to Head Coach Nan Whitley of Catawba College (in the Sac) this afternoon. Casey has had quite a run this last year leading our team in the summer in batting average and setting a defensive standard in the field.

    I can look at every Cobra player and see them making an honest difference in our team and the way we play the game and Casey is no exception. Casey has been a lead off and set up two hitter for us all year and has done very well setting a tone for the team at the plate. This young woman is very tough on herself and strives to be equally as strong in the classroom exhibiting over a 4.0 GPA overall. Casey has been a mulit sport player all throughout HS as well as very active in her school and church.

    The Charlotte Cobras 18U ASA-A Softball Program is very proud of Casey and her accomplishments. We wish her continued success in her senior year! Congratulations Scott & Lisa Baucom and the entire Baucom Family!

    Congrats Casey....You work very hard everyday...not matter if it is a sport or in the classroom.

    Keep your chin up...going to be an adjustment period when you get there. You will do great....Looking forward to this HS season getting going!!

    I know mom and dad are very proud....:hyper:

    PS. Are your grandparents going to move to Salisbury now to be at all your games???? I know your grandpa can't stand missing any of your games. Unless there is a Tarheel game on, of course...:basket:

    Congratulations Casey !!

    Casey -- You and your family should be very proud !! It has been fun to watch you over the years -- I have never seen anyone with as much heart as you have . It is nice to see such a great kid reach her goals !!!

    CONGRATULATION!!!

    I thought I recognized the name. I really enjoyed watching you play for Region 6 in the State Games at Greensboro last summer. Good luck at Catawba.
